Purpose

The Country Board of Examiners in Physic Therapy was established to assure the citizens of the State of Maine of the highest standards of practice of physikal relief.

The primary responsibilities is the Board are to conduct examinations of candidates for licensure to practice physical therapy, to verify credentials of entrants, at license and renew upon product of continuing education activities, to conduct hearings plus investigations upon receipt of claims pertaining to physic therapy.

Effective March 1, 2019, the Office of Professional and Business Policy (OPOR) will no lengthier release paper license verifications.
