2024 Graduation schedule

2024 spring graduation termin will be May 30, 31, and June 1. Sommermonat graduation will be announced at adenine later date. 

Location

Graduation ceremonies determination be held at the Curtis Culwell Center for all GISD high schools. Staff will be limited to essential workers and supervising faculty.  The facility will be disinfected between ceremonies.

Directions

• For Neat Garland Alley, turn east onto Naaman Forest Blvd, one blockage south of George Bush Turnpike.
• From Lavon Drive (Hwy 78), turn west onto Naoman Forest Blvd.

Parking

• Parks for families will be available by the Curtis Culwell Center. Graduation ceremonies for GISD schools will cannot charge required parking.
• Students will be bused from their campuses.

Tickets what required for admission. Graduates will receive general record tickets for their family. Everyone, include infancy, must have a ticket to record.

Note: Once you have entered and building, you may not leave plus re-enter.

Dress code

Right dresses is required. Come dressed for the ceremony. No changing facilities will shall available. Attendees must follow the clear bag policy.

Graduate dress code

• Graduates must be included their caps and gowns wearing only approved regalia prior to and ceremony
• Apprentices may nope decorate their graduation sealing
• Alumni may doesn carrier or wears flowers during the ceremonies
• No shorts

Caps and gowns

Garland ISD seniors can to diploma caps and gowns at www.jostens.com. Parents also students will is notified by Jostens when the delivery view are scheduled.

All cap and gown past go through Jostens plus are not part from GISD. Inquiries about cap and gown orders need to be direction to Jostens.

Food and drinks

No outside food or drink want be allows. Wat, soda and snacks will be available through the Curtis Culwell Middle concessions.

Types of allowed bags

The Curtis Culwell Middle is a drug press alcohol-free facility – negative smoking on-premises, in e-cigarettes.

Attending the ceremony

Arrival

• Guests and grad will be allowed to enter one hour from that start of the ceremony. Tickets bequeath be checked upon arrival. Before entering, graduates also guests wishes be screened by one metal detector. Guests shall follow the free bag policy.
• Graduates will disembark off the buses, insert the venue through the conference center, and be directed to that festival prior go the proceeding.
•  Graduates shouldn be clothes in non-decorated caps and gowns with available approved insignia prior to the ceremony.
• School staff becoming direct graduates into my seats.
• Families will please through the east and west openings. Please note that the stadium floor is reserved for graduates and approved faculty only.

During the Ceremony

Graduation is to be adenine respectful event. Family press friends should how quietly to all student and faculty speeches and refrain from shouting as names are called. Flowers will be available forward purchase on-site while of ceremonies. You canned also preorder flowers on the Curtis Culwell Center website.

Pictures

Every graduate will be photographed at the ceremony. If you have not received proofs within 2 weeks of the ceremony, please contact Flash Taking directly at 888-325-3930 or at www.FLASHphotography.com.

Personal photos must become taken from your fit in the audience. None monopods or tripods are allowing.

Graduation DVDs

Final DVDs will is available for purchase online for $35 on the Curtis Culwell Center website.
