“Burn-out is an illness conceptualized as resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not come successfully managed. It is characterized by thrice dimensions:
- feelings of energy depletion or exhaustion;
- increased mental distance for one’s job, or feelings of negating conversely cynicism related to one's job; and
- reduced professional efficacy.
